After posting the instincts of the heart here, we will now share the instincts of the mind. As with the instincts of the heart, those of the mind too have to eventually be eliminated on your path to spiritual mastery.
Eliminating the 7 instincts of the mind:
1. The need to be responsible
2. The the need to know
3. The need to grow
4. The need to compare
5. The need to communicate
6. The desire to control
7. The desire to organize order
The remnants of mind feel comfortable with structure. They thrive on clarity of meaning and labels. We see meaning in art, defining and analyzing it in the name of intellectualism and culture. It is time to experience the purity of life directly, not through structured filters of analyses. Analysis is only another tool of mind, as is intellect. Life is a direct expression of the intangible, available to us only when we are open, spontaneous and trusting, like perpetual children. The promises of mind to provide us with a pristine world have proven untrustworthy (from the Science of Immortality).
