As we know, in emergency preparedness, it is advisable to stock up on matches for fire starting and candles, but be aware that the “Strike Anywhere” matches are more hazardous to store because any friction can ignite them. The ones that have to be ignited by striking them on the box-strip specially designed for that purpose, are called safety matches. Those are best for storage.
I recently asked for a supply of matches when asked what to buy me for a Christmas gift, all three boxes of matches had ignited somehow on route to me and were reduced to burnt-out matches — a definite fire hazard.

Thank you for this warning! I am surprised the package even reached you in that condition! So the matches ignited but not the package that went through the mail? That is something to ponder as well.

Magnesium rods (flint sticks) are a great way to go. You can get them really cheap on platforms like ebay or in camping stores. They will last forever. Think Scouts, where the task is to strike the rods together and get a spark to start that fire 🙂

What NOT to buy. Thank you Almine! :). Yes the road to higher reality will be bumpy. Here’s to it being a…somewhat brief process and not a year(s) long process.

Thankyou Almine….so is ignition happening too rapidly and too spontaneously Rapid destructuring? In terms of spontaneous combustion….(humanity) Feels also connected to self destructiveness Ré humanity
