The Rhythm That Dictates the Lifespans of Cosmoses

“Time as a rhythm is, in the new Timemap, the sequencing of events based on a larger rhythm, too vast to comprehend, so it seems arbitrary to us.” I don’t understand this sentence, could you explain it a bit more?

Almine:
Imagine every cosmic year (according to the Chinese calendar) as a handclap; a predictable rhythm that can be identified. This is the rhythm of the four parallel realities we know as the stages of the Dream. When we awaken from existing in the Dream stages, we cross the Bridge of no Space (space becomes fluid as Inner and outer space combine) and the Bridge of no Time. Suddenly time also becomes fluid — the predictable rhythm is no longer discernible.

Time is movement or frequency; the result of the rhythmic beat of Existence. Frequency dictates form. The stages of Awakening may have fluid form, but they’re not formless. The cosmos of Awakening itself has a shape — just like the cosmos of Dreaming was contained in a tube torus. So if the large shape containing the cosmos has form, then it is created by a ‘handclap’ that is part of a much larger (and therefore undiscernable) rhythm — an unmeasurable rhythm dictating the lifespans of cosmoses.
