At the recent retreat in Ohio, Almine was asked to clarify why consulting your so-called “higher self” is problematic. She explains how the higher self – the soul – is primarily invested in luring the energy of awareness away from the physical body to the realms of death — and will dispense advice accordingly. Likewise, the spirit tries to entice you into the totalitarian neutrality of the ascension realms — those illusory levels that have programmed our notions of the holy, heavenly and saintly. Together with the body and its karma, these three constitute the triad of linear change; the merry-go-round that is the Disc of Life, powering the dream of duality.

I personally believe we are being lied to about ascension…first, we cannot forget the root foundation of this piece of wisdom: DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO DECEIVE YOU (Matthew 24:4)…not that I’m religious. Just about every single person is not putting this into practice…they’re not taking things apart to find out if it’s true or not. Next we already know the warning that your enemy comes in the appearance of righteous light (2 Corinthians 11:13)…again, not that i am religious but this advise holds true regardless. Finally, we were particularly designed with DNA/Genetic limitations…hm, perhaps so that we are more easily controlled and manipulated (hence people not investigating anything). We also need to ask things like…(1)Why is ascension only a ‘white people’ movement?, (2)Why aren’t street drug dealers going through the symptoms?, (3)Why aren’t prisoners in jail going through ascension? My conclusion is that this is nothing more than another lie. We are being lied to about everything…God, Oneness, Higher Self, Twin Flames…etc. Put it this way, how often to psychic admit that they can leave their physical bodies and roam around timeless reality and engage in the creation of holograms?, this is a ‘secret’ they won’t tell you. Worse, when a psychic does a reading…they cannot tell if they are looking at a hologram created by someone else.
Sooo depressing! No matter what we learn about life and spirituality, we eventually find out that it’s all wrong or it’s keeping us in hell. I have yet to hear how to have a happy life, and how to avoid being sucked back into the cycle of reincarnation. We used to have the hope that when this life is over we would finally have peace and joy and freedom from pain and suffering. Then we learned of reincarnation, and that “heaven” was only a brief interlude between endless lifetimes of suffering. Now, if I’m understanding correctly, even listening to Spirit is condemning ourselves to misery and a never-ending cycle of death and rebirth on earth? Our own soul is out to get us? This is very confusing. There seems to be nothing but bad news anymore, whether it’s in the physical world or it’s pertaining to the spiritual realms. I would like to know the way out of the cycle of rebirth. The last thing I would ever want to do is come back to this dark planet of insanity! Sorry, I know you all are in a bubble of bliss here, but I’m not seeing anything to be happy about in today’s Spiritual, or New Age, community.
so, I wonder….our ‘higher self’ dictating to us and us asking our ‘higher self’ if we should do “this or that” so to speak….is another form of mind control (?), in that we quit asking our ‘higher self’, live from the authenticness of being, and diminish mind control from another level in our cosmos….
Hmm. Interesting. I have only had the opposite experiences since I began listening to my higher self. My life was a mess when I didn’t listen. Basically, it was all the things you listed that occur with following the higher self. Could it be that my higher self doesn’t have the same agenda as others? Same thing with ascension. Only improvements and release of depression, pain, and anxiety I endured for decades. And I get no sense of being punished if I stopped ascending. Although at this point, I don’t think I could return to my old life without returning right back to the depression, anxiety, and trauma I had been enduring before. I love my life and my world now. I thought the bliss, wisdom, and ease I’ve been experiencing was my higher self and the ascension process. Is it possible that my experience is not that at all? Maybe I misunderstood what has been happening to me the past year. Insights would be welcome.
My relationship with my higher self has not been what was described either but I am not an Ancient One. These teachings are for the Ancient Ones. My higher self has not encouraged what was stated here but has turned me back to my own wishes, dreams and desires. This has served me well and I view my higher self as a partner, not one to whom I submit my will.
Just wow. We speak the same language Almine. So glorious this synchronicity. Making peace with dream body and having all levels express in faith without the need to steal from this for that, what a relief. Self-sovereignty includes self-respect of expression at all levels, for all levels. Amen!
My perspective of ascension is to ascend within myself, activating all 64 strands Dna abilities and start creating worlds and universes where we can all travel and explore, venture and experience our eternal divinity to the fullest, a never ending journey of bliss, adventure, victory and enjoyment.

How does one successfully dismount the merry-go-round and access truth and wisdom?
Almine has said over many years, the way out of the human matrix (the human matrix has set “truths” and “wisdom” to live by), is to dissolve and remove 3 things from your life that have created programs of how to live: Belief systems (what is right and wrong), world views and social conditioning (how to behave). One way to do this is through authentic expression and relentless self – stalking, and recapitulation, finding the root of your actions, responses and personal thoughts …it is I would say the foundation of her teaches, there are many tools she has given throughout her teachings that assist in doing this, Belvaspata is a great place to start (this is just a suggestion, it removes layers of fear gracefully as the heart heals, and the mind is purified through refined frequencies and perceptions ), just start where you feel you are most pulled to. Wisdom (heart) and truth (mind) should come from the fresh authentic expression of your being (not from any external sources), as you live fully, deeply and vibrantly your unique perspective in the present moment, in other words truth and wisdom evolves and integrates and changes as you evolve and integrate and change, they are as fluid as you are.
