In the Apocrypha, The Odes of Solomon we read,
“I was crowned by my God, my crown is living…I received the face and fashion of a new person.
And the thought of truth led me on. I walked after it and did not wander.
And all that have seen me were amazed and I was regarded by them as a strange person…
Nothing appeared closed to me, I was the door of everything.”
The above passage refers to one who did not age, who appeared as a “strange person” with a new face – one who had achieved immortality and eternal youth. Taoist immortal masters, on rare occasions throughout history have also achieved this desirable state of eternal youth, having to move around from location to location to avoid being singled out.
Masters in India have likewise proven that they can achieve life of hundreds of uninterrupted years – at times in legal courts in order to establish ownership of their property (see ‘Immortality” by Leonard Orr). Yet again masters are achieving remarkable states of consciousness and eternal youth…
